Recommendations when receiving peels to allow for maximum results to be achieved
A. Wear sunscreen at all times, including hats and sunglasses if possible during the healing process. Although the above peels are micro-peels and do not leave skin with layers of skin shedding off at one time. It is in fact a peel although only mild flaking may be seen which leaves the skin hypersensitive to sun exposure. Take all precautions to protect your skin from the sun at all times.
B. Avoid tanning beds 72 hours before a chemical peel as well as indefinitely after a peel until you are done with your peel series.
C. Avoid excessive peeling agents unless prescribed by your esthetician as part of the peel regime.
D. Continue to use aftercare products recommended by your esthetician.
E. Do not pull dead skin off, as it my cause hyper-pigmentation.
F. Do not do anything for 72 hours that can bring heat to your facial skin, including, any form of exercise, hot-tubbing, sitting in a hot bath etc. This can cause hyper-pigmentation.
